The British military cemetery at Bayeux is located near the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy. It includes the graves of 4,648 soldiers killed during the fighting, including 3,935 Britons, 181 Canadians, 17 Australians, eight New Zealanders, a South African, in addition to 25 Poles, three frenchmen, two Czechs, two Italians, 7 Russians and 466 Germans. Opposite to cemetery, there is the monument commemorating the 2,092 Commonwealth soldiers killed during the Battle of Normandy and who had not been buried. Your visit is highly recommended.
